Ghetto Nerd University began with a simple challenge: What happens when a rap artist decides
to create his own campus? You get GNU; an in person and virtual experience where cultural intelligence is celebrated and realized through music and artistry. Inspired by the commitment of higher education and the soul of hip-hop, the identity was designed to feel timeless, prestigious, and deeply rooted in the communities that have always been teaching, creating, and innovating.

Designed as a community for artists, musicians, and innovators, the identity balances the prestige of academia with the spirit of hip-hop—building a crest that feels less like a logo and more like an institution people want to belong to. The result is a mark rooted in culture, curiosity, and the belief that knowledge can come from anywhere. The goal was to develop a crest that could establish credibility while remaining deeply connected to hip-hop, music, and the communities that inspired it.
